About Me
Junjie Chen is a researcher in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at The University of Tokyo. He specialized in the integration of language models to syntax and semantics studies. He obtained a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the same institution. His Ph.D. and Master research is publised in peer-reviewed top conferences such as ACL and NAACL. Junjie also developed a robust skill set in applying various machine learning technologies to NLP research and applications.
Junjie gained his experience through a series of academic and practical projects. He currently works in the National Institute of Informatics to aid the development of Japanese-based Large Language Model. He was a visiting student at the University of Liverpool and a research assistant in the University of Tokyo, working on projects extracting syntax from pretrained language models. He also has experience developing NLP applications, developing a multilingual article classification system for a Covid-19 information portal.
Junjie is currently funded by the DC2 grants from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, underscoring his potential and the trust placed in his research capabilities. He is driven to leverage his experiences in AI research and development to contribute to cutting-edge projects in the field.
